Why the unit is a verified prospect
A bought list charges you for every row, right or wrong. Mailbase charges for the step that actually costs something and actually matters: a company whose email was found on its own site and checked before anyone wrote. The register lookup, the crawl and the legal-notice read that come before it are free, so a target of a thousand companies costs nothing to explore and only the ones worth writing to count.

What each plan includes for prospecting.
Every plan runs the same engine: the register search, the website and legal-notice lookup, the drafting and the follow-ups are never metered, and only verified prospects count against your allowance. What changes from plan to plan is how many you get a month, where the email is sent from and how many people share the workspace.

What is a verified prospect?
A company from the French register with a checked email address and a named person to write to. The engine finds the company, finds its website, reads the legal notice for the email and the owner, and verifies the address before anyone writes. Only that last step counts against your plan — finding and enriching companies is never metered.
Does it work outside France?
The prospecting engine is built on the French company register (SIRENE), so discovery covers companies registered in France, whatever language you write in. Everything else — campaigns, the reply inbox, the AI assistant, the API — works for any audience anywhere.
What happens when I run out of prospects?
Verification pauses until next month; discovery and enrichment keep running. To keep going now, upgrade the plan or buy a pack of 2,500 verified prospects for €19, one-time, from the Prospecting screen. Pack credits are used after your monthly allowance and never expire.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, free forever, no card. 200 verified prospects a month, 200 emails a month, 30 AI messages. It is enough to run one real target end to end — find the companies, read the drafts, send a handful, see a reply land in the inbox. What keeps the shared sending domain out of reach of throwaway accounts is not a tiny daily cap: every campaign and every single email is read for scams before it leaves, and a new account ramps up gradually.
Can I send from my own domain?
Yes, from Starter. Add your domain and Mailbase shows you the exact DKIM and SPF records to set; sending unlocks once it verifies. The free plan sends from a Mailbase address.
What does the Bring-your-own-Amazon-SES plan include?
Every feature — campaigns, inbox, A/B testing, analytics, the API — for €5/month billed yearly (€7 month to month). You connect your own Amazon SES account and cover delivery yourself, so Mailbase never meters your sending. Verified prospects are Mailbase's cost whoever sends the email, so the plan includes the free allowance (200 a month) and you add packs when you need more.
How do AI assistant messages work?
Every plan includes a monthly pool of assistant messages (30 on Free, up to 10,000 on Scale) — one message is one question you ask the agent, including the searches and reads it runs to answer. The emails the engine writes to prospects are not counted as messages. When the pool is used up the assistant pauses until next cycle or you upgrade.
Can I use my own AI model or key?
Yes. Connect your own provider key (OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, MiniMax, Groq, Mistral or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) and the assistant runs on your account at your cost, unmetered.
Annual or monthly billing: what is the difference?
The plan is the same. Annual is the lower rate: you pay once a year, and the per-month price shown is that annual total divided by twelve (for example Starter is €9/month, billed €108 a year). Month to month costs more, from €12 on Starter, and is billed every month. Annual saves at least 25%. Customers who subscribed before annual billing keep the price they signed up at.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Every price on this page is in euros, excluding VAT. Annual plans are billed once a year and monthly plans every month. VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
What happens if I hit my email limit?
Sending pauses for the rest of the cycle — nothing goes out silently over your plan. Upgrade anytime to lift the limit immediately.
