Mailbase Changelog

Shipped product improvements, grouped by date and written for teams evaluating what is real in the app today.

  1. Shipped

Free tools, a deliverability page, and an AI that checks its own emails

Three things aimed at the same problem: getting a cold email to the inbox before the first word is written.

    • Free tools under /tools, with no account: a domain check (SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX), a cold email checker, an SPF record generator and a DMARC record generator.
    • A deliverability page that describes how a domain is set up and warmed, and a free domain check on the landing page.
    • The AI assistant now runs every email it writes through the email checker before it proposes it to you.
  2. Shipped

Buy a domain, send from it, and warm it up on real engagement

Sending moved fully onto Amazon SES, and each domain you send from is now set up and warmed on its own.

    • Buy a domain end to end inside the app: payment, every DNS record written, replies arriving on the customer's own domain, and renewals.
    • SES-native domains: subdomain senders, a background re-check until the records verify, and a separate SES tenant per workspace.
    • Per-domain warm-up: a health-gated ramp that moves up only while real bounces and complaints stay low, volume spread through the day, engaged recipients first, and a re-warm after a quiet month.
    • DNS records shown as separate Host, Value and Priority fields, each one copyable.
    • useSend removed from the interface. Sign-in links and other platform mail go out without open or click tracking, so a login link is never rewritten.

Every email is read for scams before it leaves

Abuse is now stopped at the source, by reading what is sent, instead of by a small cap.

    • Every campaign and every single email is screened for scams by TypeSafe Jev; the uncertain ones are escalated to a second model.
    • Doubtful emails are held until an admin decides.
    • The Free plan's 10-a-day and 70-a-week caps were replaced by this screening.
    • The legal pages now name Amazon SES and TypeSafe.
  4. Shipped

    Analytics read from Amazon SES

Delivery analytics now show what actually happened to each email.

    • Bounce reasons, delivery delays and delivery time.
    • Human opens separated from machine opens, and link clicks.
    • Results by mailbox provider, and sending activity.
  5. Shipped

A rebuilt assistant and a smarter Find

The assistant can look at a company's website, and Find checks that every company it returns fits what you asked for.

    • The assistant analyses a real website, fetching it safely (requests to private addresses are refused), and remembers context across turns. Prospecting only starts after you confirm.
    • Find lets you select several targets at once, shows a live pool and real progress, and has TypeSafe Jev check that each company fits the target.
    • Activity search understands intent: curated B2B intents, sensible scoring, suggested activity codes you confirm, and an autocomplete that tolerates typos.
  6. Shipped

Mailbase Studio: a new public site and a redesigned app

The public site and the app moved to one design, and the landing page now shows the French register.

    • A France-map landing page and a new public website: features, tools, blog, pricing and docs in one style.
    • The app redesigned screen by screen: Home, Assistant, Find, campaigns and the composer, reply management, insights and settings, all on the real backend.
  7. Shipped

One sending door on Amazon SES

Every email now leaves through Amazon SES, and a bounce from prospecting stops the sequence.

    • Bring your own Amazon SES account, choose the shared sending domain, and a setup script for SES.
    • A bounce on a prospecting email now stops the sequence for that company.
  8. Shipped

    French interface

The app is available in French, with the same screens and a French dictionary.

    • The app interface is translated into French.
    • Draft campaigns can be resumed where you left them.
  9. Shipped

Websites found and read, and a new home: mailbase.studio

Prospecting now finds a company's website by search and reads it, and the site moved to its own domain.

    • A search engine finds the website; a headless browser reads it, including the legal notice, to find the email and the owner.
    • The public site moved to mailbase.studio.
  10. Shipped

A prospecting agent built on the French company register

Mailbase now starts from the public French company register (SIRENE) instead of a list you bring.

    • An engine that finds every company matching a target in the register, deduplicated on SIREN, then finds the website, reads the legal notice, verifies the email and drafts one email per person.
    • The assistant runs prospecting end to end; a native prospecting screen replaces the earlier bridge to an external backend.
  11. Shipped

Abuse screening and a platform console

First controls against scam senders, and an operator console for numbers that were invisible before.

    • What customers send is screened, and accounts sending scams are stopped.
    • A platform console for operators, with the numbers nobody could see before.

AI answers in place, and a mailbox you already use

The AI stopped queueing tasks and started answering where you work. This replaces the AI task drawer described in earlier entries.

    • AI answers in context instead of queueing a task: reply drafts land in the reply box and campaign copy in the composer. The AI proposes tags and replies; a person decides, and sending email can no longer be automated by the assistant.
    • Connect the mailbox you already use, starting with Google.
    • A French catalogue and the navigation translated, as the start of the French interface.
    • A no-code integrations panel in Settings, and two-factor authentication surfaced in Settings.
  13. Shipped

    Privacy, caps and no-code hooks

The controls a team needs before it sends to real people.

    • GDPR data export and erasure endpoints.
    • Per-contact frequency caps and quiet hours.
    • A preference center, contact acquisition, and the missing /api/v1 endpoints.
    • Two-factor authentication, contact events, and no-code integrations over REST Hooks.

Public product truth pass and template studio hardening

Audited public SEO claims, added shipped workflow and comparison pages, tightened schema.org metadata, and completed template-studio improvements.

    • Added truthful pages for scheduled campaigns, durable send jobs, reply inbox, AI/MCP workflows, deliverability controls, transactional API, and comparisons. (Several of these guides describe the product as it was in May and are no longer indexed by search engines.)
    • Added template spam/content checks, link checks, image assets, brand kit support, and AI content optimization.
    • Added cached analytics rollups, visible loading/error states, responsive hardening, text overflow guardrails, keyboard accessibility, and Playwright smoke coverage.
  15. Shipped

Professional workflow, API, MCP, analytics, and UI polish

Expanded Mailbase from campaign basics into a fuller email operations product with journeys, API/MCP safety, analytics, inbox collaboration, and UI consistency.

    • Added journeys, A/B testing, windowed analytics, domain health, webhook debug logs, bot filtering, UTM tracking, and privacy-safe product analytics.
    • Added OpenAPI docs, idempotency, outgoing webhooks, scopes, token expiry, rate limits, expanded MCP tools, AI task review history, and workspace AI policy. (The AI task queue was superseded on 2026-07-31: the AI now answers in place instead of queueing a task.)
    • Added inbox notes, assignments, saved views, SLA filters, hot-lead pipeline, follow-up tasks, collision detection, expanded roles, audit logs, and broad token-backed UI polish.
  16. Shipped

Compliance, scheduled sends, and durable sending foundation

Built the reliability and trust layer for campaign sending, unsubscribe handling, workspace routing, and send-job processing.

    • Added suppression center controls, contact-level suppress/resubscribe, branded unsubscribe confirmation, signed unsubscribe URLs, one-click unsubscribe headers, and send-time compliance validation.
    • Added scheduled campaign timezone storage, server-side lead-time validation, reschedule/cancel controls, scheduled-send tests, and lifecycle analytics.
    • Added durable campaign send jobs with recipient items, worker batching, retries, pause/resume/cancel, failed-recipient review, concurrency limits, rate-limit backoff, and database-backed tests.
